This conference is ideal for practicing hospitalists managing adult or pediatric in-patients, including those with backgrounds in internal medicine, family medicine, and pediatrics, as well as nurse practitioners and physician’s assistants. It will also appeal to those interested in learning more about hospital medicine, including out-patient clinicians engaged in medical education and training programs. The scope will include urban, suburban and rural hospital medicine.
Following completion of this activity, learners should be better able to:
– Practice high quality and cost-conscious care in their hospital.
– Work as an effective member of an interprofessional team.
– Apply skills in bedside teachinga s well as patient communication.
– Describe new ways that hospital systems can improve upon error reporting and readmission reduction.
