This activity is designed to increase knowledge, improve competence, improve performance, and change behavior regarding the diagnosis, treatment and management of the critically-ill and injured pediatric patient. Course participant evaluations and our community physician annual needs assessment survey have identified the need for up to date information about pediatric resuscitation. Topics to be presented include instruction in critical pediatric procedures, neonatal emergencies, non-traumatic surgical emergencies, hands-on interactive skills stations, as well as ultrasound use in pediatrics. This conference will also include Advanced Pediatric Life Support (APLS) content and certification.
This year’s conference will provide practitioners with evidence based methods and strategies to assist them in providing better treatment options for their patients. Faculty presenting and interacting with participants at this activity have been selected on the basis of their comprehensive clinical experience and academic excellence.
