Description

CBT Canada and Queen's University Division of General Internal Medicine are pleased to present a Ten-Minute CBT workshop at the Delta Kingston Waterfront on Friday, December 6, 2019. 


 


The workshop covers the Ten-Minute CBT approach, fundamental tools of persuasion, and important CBT pearls regarding chronic worry (GAD), illness anxiety disorder ("hypochondriasis"), major depression, vaccine refusal, non-compliance, substance abuse, smoking cessation, diabetes management, OCPD (perfectionism) and other disorders.   


 


The day begins with check-in starting at 8:45AM. Coffee breaks are at 10:30AM and 2:30PM. A complimentary catered lunch begins at high noon, and the day wraps up at 4:30PM.


 


Head instructor Greg Dubord, MD is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto, and the prime developer of medical CBT. He has presented over 500 workshops, including over 50 for the College of Family Physicians of Canada, and is a University of Toronto CME Teacher of the Year. Assistant faculty includes Johanna Murphy, MD, FRCPC, Director of the General Internal Medicine Fellowship Program at Queen's University. 


 


Accreditation by the College of Family Physicians of Canada is at the three-credits-per-hour level; i.e., 18.0 Mainpro+ credits for this 6.0 hour workshop.
